      When I do this I take the jawbone and write on it the year and put it on my shelf. This particular buck 's jawbone looks quite different than the rest as the teeth are much shorter or worn down and much more dentin showing. I guess my question is, is there somewhere I can send a photo of the jawbone to have someone accurately age the deer? 1 Haul deer to the weigh-in station by the most direct route. 2 Attach proper MLD permit to deer. 3 Take a picture of the hunter with his/her deer. (Mandatory) 4 Check for lactation if the deer is a doe. 5 Remove entrails. 6 Weigh deer to the nearest pound (with hide and legs attached). 7 Remove, tag, & initial jawbone.
